In the wake of disasters, Alley Cat Allies provides rapid, lifesaving support for cats and the people who care for them. Following the Central Texas flood disaster, our Rapid Response Team, in collaboration with a local organization, provided support, supplies, and emergency medical care to cats and kittens evacuated from shelters in flood-affected areas.
Many of the animals who had to be evacuated were mother cats with their young litters or kittens like Wink. Most had urgent medical concerns when they arrived in our care, including ringworm and upper respiratory infections, which we addressed with immediate veterinary treatment.
